4. Service Process and Client Responsibilities

4.1 Initial Assessment

Upon receiving your timepiece, we will conduct an initial assessment and provide a written evaluation of recommended services, estimated costs, and expected timeline. You authorize us to proceed with work only after receiving your explicit approval.

4.2 Client Authorization

You must be the legal owner of the timepiece or have proper authorization from the owner to request services. By submitting a timepiece for service, you represent and warrant that you have such authority.

4.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate information about the timepiece's history, condition, and any previous repairs. Withholding relevant information may affect our ability to properly service the timepiece and could void any applicable warranties.

4.4 Additional Work

If during service we discover additional issues requiring attention, we will contact you for approval before proceeding with work beyond the originally approved scope.

5. Fees and Payment Terms

5.1 Service Fees

Service fees are determined based on the complexity of work required and are outlined in your service agreement. Fees are quoted in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$).

5.2 Payment Terms

Payment is due in full before the timepiece is returned to you. We accept:

  • Cash
  • Bank transfer
  • Major credit cards

5.3 Additional Costs

If additional work is required beyond the original scope, we will provide a revised estimate for your approval. Additional fees may include:

  • Replacement parts and components
  • Extended services discovered during disassembly
  • Shipping or courier services (if requested)

5.4 Cancellation

If you cancel service after work has begun, you may be responsible for assessment fees and any work completed to the point of cancellation.

6. Service Timeline

We provide estimated timelines for service completion based on the work required. While we make every effort to meet these estimates, timelines are subject to:

  • Parts availability
  • Complexity of issues discovered during service
  • Quality control and testing requirements
  • Current service queue

We will notify you of any significant delays and provide updated timeline estimates.

7. Parts and Components

7.1 Replacement Parts

When replacement parts are necessary, we source components that meet or exceed original specifications. We use genuine manufacturer parts when available and appropriate aftermarket components when genuine parts are unavailable or cost-prohibitive.

7.2 Original Parts

Replaced original parts remain your property and will be returned to you with the timepiece unless you specifically request otherwise.

7.3 Parts Warranty

Replacement parts carry a warranty period of 12 months from the date of service completion, covering defects in materials or workmanship of the parts themselves.

8. Service Warranty

8.1 Workmanship Warranty

We warrant our workmanship for 12 months from the date of service completion. This warranty covers:

  • Defects in work performed by our watchmakers
  • Issues directly attributable to our service procedures
  • Replacement parts supplied by us

8.2 Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from accidents, misuse, or improper handling
  • Water damage if water resistance was not part of the service
  • Normal wear and aging of components
  • Issues arising from service performed elsewhere
  • Cosmetic issues not directly related to our service

8.3 Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period. We will assess the issue and, if covered, repair or correct the problem at no additional charge. Our decision regarding warranty coverage is final.

9. Limitations of Liability

9.1 Service Limitations

While we use appropriate care and professional skill in servicing timepieces, we cannot warrant specific outcomes or performance beyond normal specifications. Vintage and heavily worn timepieces may have limitations that affect their functionality.

9.2 Liability Cap

Our total liability for any claims arising from our services, whether in contract, negligence, or otherwise, is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

9.3 Consequential Damages

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of use or enjoyment
  • Emotional distress
  • Lost profits or business opportunities
  • Collection or sentimental value

9.4 Declared Value

For timepieces of exceptional value, we recommend declaring the value at the time of service. Additional insurance may be arranged for an additional fee.

10. Risk and Insurance

While timepieces are in our possession, we maintain insurance coverage for loss or damage. However, we recommend that clients maintain their own insurance coverage for valuable timepieces.

We are not responsible for loss or damage occurring during shipping to or from our facility unless we arranged the shipping service.

11. Unclaimed Property

If you do not collect your timepiece within 90 days of notification that service is complete, we will contact you to arrange pickup. After 180 days, the timepiece may be considered abandoned property.

We reserve the right to charge reasonable storage fees for timepieces not collected within 90 days of service completion.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent.

14. Changes to Terms
