Challenge
A 1960s automatic watch inherited from a client's father had stopped running after years in storage. The movement showed signs of dried lubricants and the case had accumulated surface oxidation. The dial, fortunately, remained in good condition.
Solution
Complete movement disassembly with ultrasonic cleaning of all components. Replacement of the mainspring and several worn jewel settings. Conservative case refinishing to remove oxidation while preserving the watch's aged character. New crystal installation.
Results
The watch now runs within +3 seconds per day across tested positions. The client received a bound dossier documenting the entire restoration process with before-and-after photographs. Timeline: 11 weeks from assessment to completion.

Challenge
A chronograph movement that had been serviced elsewhere but continued to exhibit timing inconsistencies. The chronograph function worked but reset position was slightly off-center. Client was considering selling the watch but wanted to resolve issues first.
Solution
Careful inspection revealed improper lubrication in the previous service and a bent chronograph lever. Complete disassembly to correct lubrication issues. Straightening and repositioning of the chronograph mechanism. Extended testing of both timekeeping and chronograph functions.
Results
Timekeeping improved to within acceptable chronometer standards. Chronograph now resets perfectly to zero and operates smoothly through all functions. Client decided to keep the watch given its restored performance. Timeline: 5 weeks including extensive testing.
